But no, really, Samuel Johnson would be proud. ;) I am reminded of one of his most memorable definitions: OATS--A grain, which in England is generally given to horses, but in Scotland appears to support the people. (Keep in mind that this was written around 1755 when there was an antagonistic relationship between the two countries...) So what's the relationship between this definition and yours? (1) The fact that I like them both. (2) I'm sure there's another reason; I just haven't made the connection yet.
